Where do we get our funding from?

SWLEP has competed with other Local Enterprise Partnerships and successfully been awarded money through various Central Government funding programmes, which include:

  • Local Growth Fund
    We have secured from Government to unlock growth and development within our economy, read more

    £78 million of European Union funding to help businesses compete and grow, and improve people's skills and employment prospects, read more.
  • Growing Places Infrastructure Fund
    £8.8m capital fund to invest in infrastructure projects that deliver sustainable economic growth within the Swindon and Wiltshire, read more.
  • Higher Futures
    Free, impartial skills brokerage service to support businesses with skilled workforces that enable them to grow and innovate, read more.
  • The Growth Hub
    Funded by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy who provide £205,000 per year, the single gateway to access impartial support and advice to starting and growing your business, read more.
  • Careers and Enterprise Company
    The Enterprise Advisor Network has 40 Enterprise Advisors working with 48 schools and colleges, read more.
  • Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government
    £500,000 per year grant towards the operational costs of SWLEP, matched by additional resources provided by the Unitary Authorities to the value of £250,000.
