Swindon and Wiltshire, just an hour from London, is home to household names such as Intel and Dyson, as well as world-leading life sciences expertise at Porton Down.

Life Sciences

The Porton Science Park offers incoming companies access to facilities at the Defence Science & Technology Laboratory (DSTL), a hot-bed of innovation with over 2,000 staff working on collaborations between industry, academia and the military. This includes MHRA and FDA approved laboratories in a secure setting.

Cyber

Wiltshire is home to the Ministry of Defence’s Global Cyber Operations Centre and hosts a Super Garrison of the British Army. The significant military presence offers growing firms a rich pool of talent to recruit from, including those in a range of digital, cyber and advanced engineering industries.

Companies are also utilising the area’s facilities, including numerous ex-military air bases, to test and develop electric and autonomous vehicles and applications for hydrogen technology.

Automotive

Key sites include Honda’s site in excess of 200 acres, offering huge scope for a range of inward investment projects. There are also highly visible major sites along the M4 corridor capable of accommodating up to 1 million sq ft.
