About Us

Swindon&Wiltshire bw

The Swindon and Wiltshire Careers Hub brings together schools, colleges, employers, education providers and local agencies to help all schools and colleges deliver high quality careers guidance that inspires and prepares young people for the fast-changing world of work.

Created as part of the government’s careers strategy, the Swindon and Wiltshire Careers Hub provides individual support to over 60 local schools and colleges helping them achieve the Gatsby Benchmarks, a framework of 8 guidelines that define what the best careers provision looks like.

Central to our work is a community of practice that enables schools, colleges and partners to share what works, discuss challenges and develop solutions to improve and enhance careers education across the county.

We also coordinate two employer networks, the Enterprise Adviser Network and Cornerstone Employers group, that provide valuable strategic and practical support to schools and colleges.

The work of the Swindon and Wiltshire Careers Hub is overseen by the Careers Hub Steering Group:

  • Daniel Baker, Lead School, Malmesbury School
  • Paddy Bradley, SWLEP Chief Executive
  • Sally Burnett, SWLEP Skills Lead
  • Daniel Busson, Lead Employer, Capita WFM
  • Tina Pagett, Lead SEND Provider, Fairfield Farm College
  • Scott Green, Regional Lead, Careers and Enterprise Company
  • Louise Stanton, Lead School, Malmesbury School
  • Shona Taylor, Wiltshire Council, Careers Hub Lead
  • Mandy Timbrell, Wiltshire Council and SWLEP Skills Lead
  • Amanda Walton, Lead College/Post 16, New College, Swindon

The Swindon and Wiltshire Careers Hub was established by the Careers and Enterprise Company in partnership with Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership, Swindon Borough Council and Wiltshire Council.
