Schools and Colleges

Swindon & Wiltshire-03 400

Swindon and Wiltshire Careers Hub provides individual tailored support to 58 local schools and colleges helping them achieve the 8 Gatsby Benchmarks. The Benchmarks define what world class careers provision in education looks like and provide a clear framework for organising the careers provision in schools and colleges.

The Benchmarks were developed on behalf of the Gatsby Foundation by Sir John Holman and are enshrined in statutory guidance.

SEND

We want every young person to access modern, 21st century careers education, no matter what their background or circumstance. We work with special schools and specialist colleges across Swindon and Wiltshire, as well as with Careers Leaders who design and deliver careers education programmes tailored to the needs of young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in mainstream schools and colleges.

The Careers and Enterprise Company (CEC), Careers Hubs and other partners have developed a wide range of resources to support the careers development of young people with SEND. You can access the resources by visiting the CEC’s Resource Directory.
